Theatrical Quilting

Steven Carne introduces a day exploring our long tradition of recording historical events

and social comment in textiles and specifically quilts. The day will involve looking at

various styles of quilting from around the world and practical activities designed to help

people create their own unique panels for a Littleport Community quilt. How do we

choose subject matter? How do we turn historical events into images on cloth for future

generations?

There is no experience of sewing and quilting needed. The workshop is designed for

both enthusiastic quilters and those who enjoy sharing creative ideas with others.
